The Key to Productivity

Hello all! It's been about a month since I've blogged, but I honestly had no inspiration lately. Since the last time I posted, my life has gone through some changes. First off, I redid my entire room. If you have been watching me on YouTube for a while, you would remember the ugly, pale yellow walls I had. I repainted them white and revamped my room with some new items. Along with redoing my room, I have passed my driver's exam. So, yes- I can now call myself a "licensed driver."

All this thinking about productivity led me to write this very post. Today, I will share some of my tips on spending time wisely and being productive. Keep in mind that this is not in any particular order.

1.) WAKE UP EARLY: Waking up early will allow you to have a full morning to run all errands you may have. Finishing tasks earlier than usual is always nice because then, you can enjoy your evening by relaxing. Waking up late can tend to feel like you've wasted half a day. The mindset of someone who wakes up earlier is usually much more productive than that of someone who sleeps in through the morning.

2.) MAKE LISTS/KEEP A PLANNER: Everything feels more official when it's on a list. It also feels great to check off the things you've already done. Keep a planner to help you stay organized and on task. If you don't like the feeling of using pen & paper, opt for a scheduling app on a phone, tablet, or iPad instead.

3.) CLEAN: I feel that there is always something that needs to be cleaned up. Even if things are generally tidy, there's nothing wrong with going the extra mile and organizing your closet or an old bookshelf.

4.) READ: Reading can usually soak up a lot of time (at least for me!) and will give you something to do when you're bored. Finishing a book makes me feel accomplished.

5.) EXERCISE/GO FOR A WALK: Taking a nature walk can be so relaxing and good for the heart & mind. Although I don't exercise as much as I'd like to, I often walk to the park just so I can get some fresh air!

Thank you all for reading, and I hope you guys will begin to feel fulfilled and productive! See you all with another post soon :)

With warm regards,
Teresa

The Start of Something Beautiful!

Hey all! Today's post is about my new-found love for painting! I guess it isn't that new.. It's more of the fact that painting is a process, and I haven't had free time in what's felt like ages. I took a painting class this year and really enjoyed it. The teacher was a bit critical of my abilities and constantly discouraged me, but my overall outlook on painting remains positive. It's a great way to release energy, calm down, and be creative!

Since it's summer, I wanted to push myself to grow as a painter. So, about two weeks ago, I went to Michael's to pick up some basic acrylic paints and brushes. I've dabbled around and can truthfully describe my paintings as mediocre (which is completely okay with me). I plan on continuing painting, so that some day (in the far, far future) I can sell some of my work. Thinking that someone would have a piece of my art in their homes gives me the chills. Let's cross our fingers and hope it works out for the best!

I'll share pictures of my creations once I feel they're worthy enough. Yesterday, I posted a fun painting of lips on Instagram. Here's a link- http://instagram.com/p/pcF3bHLQ-8/. Make sure to follow me @teresaholly to see more! I hope you all find your creative outlet somehow. I know I've found mine. Here's to the start of something beautiful.

With warm regards,
Teresa

The Power of the Pants... The Disco Pants!

Hey all! First off- I am back on YouTube and will be posting a new video every single Thursday. If you're not subscribed already, please check it out at https://www.youtube.com/user/teresaholly03. Today marks the first day of this new adventure. And of course- it's a video revolving around the one & only American Apparel Disco Pants.

To begin, I'd like to just state that I am aware that Disco Pants are a bit pricey. They are sold for $85 at American Apparel (http://store.americanapparel.net/the-disco-pant_rsaah300). I first set my eyes on these hot pants about a year and a half ago when my FAVORITE YouTuber, Zoe Sugg, wore them in a video! I instantly fell in love with them. After debating on whether to buy them or not, I decided to allow myself a small splurge. They are MAGIC pants. They have a snug fit, but are surprisingly comfortable. If you're considering buying these, do it! If it doesn't work out, you can always return them!

I think that everyone should own a piece in their wardrobe that instantly makes them feel on top of the world. For me, the power of the Disco Pants give me that feeling. I've received so many compliments whilst wearing them. They give me the boost of confidence that everybody should have. So, I decided to make a video on four ways that I style my AA Disco Pants. The options are endless, but here's my take on them. Enjoy!

SUMMER 2K14!

HELLO! It's Teresa! I realized I haven't posted in quite a while, and that is just not okay! So, I'm back and ready to blog, vlog, shop, eat, spend time with family/friends, work, relax, read, and more.

First of all, I want to update you guys on my life. So, I just finished my sophomore year. Yes, I'm "just" a junior in high school now... I get a staggering amount of people who think I am about 5 years older than I really am, which is completely okay with me. This year has been phenomenal and chaotic all at the same time. To say the least, I have met so many new friends, worked my bottom off, and accomplished more than I ever thought I could.

As I sit here at my local coffee shop, I find myself realizing that my life is completely changing. You might wonder how a 16 year old could possibly say this. In 3 months, I will be in college. I'm a 16 year old student who is going to COLLEGE this fall. I got accepted into a program that allows me to take classes at college. The credits I receive will be transferred to my high school, but I will also be given college credit as well. I no longer will be in regular high school classes sitting amongst my old friends/peers. The biggest reason why I chose to do this program was so I could graduate college earlier. Life is short, and I want to make the most of it. I will still find time for friends and will have even more time to myself due to the lesser amount of hours I'll spend in class.

I also want to get a job just to stay busy. I enjoy being free to do what I want, but don't want to have too much time on my hands! I should probably end this post on a light note. With that being said, IT'S SUMMER! Soak up the sun and enjoy yourselves!

With warm regards,
Teresa
